Enhancement to Talk About It® Anonymous Reporting Service Gives School Systems Ability to Send Real-Time Information to Students via E-Mail and Text Messages

OXFORD, MS — April 26, 2007 — AnComm, a leading provider of anonymous messaging and communications solutions to the education market, today announced the immediate availability of Global Alert, an emergency notification service that enables school administrators to broadcast real-time e-mail and text alerts to students and faculty.  AnComm’s Global Alert service is designed to allow faculty to proactively notify every student and teacher of an impending emergency situation or natural disaster by sending vital communications to desktops, laptops, pdas and other types of wireless devices.

AnComm’s Global Alert service is a new addition to the company’s Talk About It anonymous reporting service — currently in use by more than 60 school systems across the United States — that enables school administrators to dramatically improve the flow and frequency of information between faculty and students. With the availability of the new Global Alert service, school administrators are empowered with a simple, easy-to-use tool to rapidly disseminate broad-based emergency communications in order to proactively prevent violent situations in elementary and secondary schools, and institutions of higher education. The new enhancement is available at no additional cost to all current subscribers of AnComm’s Talk About It web-based anonymous reporting service.

“We know that students are the best source of information for what is occurring in our schools and we also know that children prefer to communicate using internet mediums like e-mail, instant messaging, and text messaging,” said Carter Myers, President of AnComm. “With the Talk About It service, students who have previously been afraid to come forward with information or to seek help for a problem can anonymously reach out and establish a new line of communication.”
